We
Serve - Nearly 1.35 million Lions members
in 194 countries and geographic areas answer the needs that
challenge the communities of the world. Lions tackle tough
problems like blindness, drug abuse prevention and diabetes
awareness.
Global neighbors - Lions members—men and women—provide
immediate and sustained relief in time of disaster and offer
long-term assistance to those in need. Lions collect and recycle
eyeglasses for distribution in developing countries and treat
millions of people to prevent river blindness.
Community Leaders
- Lions improve the quality of life in their local communities
by building parks, supporting hospitals and establishing water
treatment programs. For 85 years, whenever there is a need
at home or around the world, Lions members are there to help—We
Serve.

Lions
Clubs are found almost every where you visit or work. You've
probably noticed the Lions Emblem as you entered towns or visited
restaurants where there is a Lions Club. There are breakfast,
lunch, and dinner clubs. Each Club has its own special projects
and activities. All are composed of men and women interested
in making a difference in their community and the world.
Find a Club where you live or work and join us at a meeting
to find out what we do and you you can serve your community
as a Lion. This list shows all Lions Clubs in District 31-C
by town, and includes the name of the Club President, showing
where and when each Club meets. You may also call the North
Carolina Lions Foundation for information on any Lions Club
in North Carolina. 1-(800) 662-7401 |

Each
year the Mint Hill Lions Club sponsors and participates
in numerous events in the Mint Hill area. Here are just
a few from 2005.
In April the Mint Hill
Lions sponsored a successful yard sale at American Community
Bank in Mint Hill.
|
Followed
by another yard sale held at Lion Services on North Tryon
Street in Charlotte.
|
At
matthews Alive and Mint Hill Madness the Mint Hill Lions Club
provides tents, tables and chairs. They are always on hand
selling brooms in support of the blind and provide free vision
screening to the public.

To
round out the year there is an annual Christmas Parlour Tour
to raise money for continued help and service to those in
need.

Readers Information Service, CRIS, needs
your help. Spearheaded by Huntersville Lion, George
McCausland, this service initially provides visually impaired
area residents with content from local newspapers.
CRIS, however, needs your help both as on-air readers, and
help promoting and fund raising for the project.
The
need for food is year round, not just during
the holidays. Your donated food and volunteer hours
help make sure that food pantries, day care centers, and
other participating agencies have the food required to alleviate
hunger and malnutrition. Click
